―Official Description

The Z-2 LMP (sometimes shortened to Z-2) is an SMG featured in SAS: Zombie Assault 4 (both PC & mobile) as a starting primary gun exclusively for the MEDIC class.

Overview[]

As one might expect from a starting gun, Z-2 LMP packs a low movement speed penalty & high RoF for rookie players. Also, its ammo type is cheap ($40 for 400 on PC & $40 for 800 on mobile.) However, the Z-2 LMP will become ineffective in later stages of the game as it suffers from poor stats when compared to other SMGs. Additionally, It can't be augmented without EACs.

You should sell this gun not for money (by default it is worth $0) but to free up an inventory slot or simply to replace it with an objectively better gun that is is found in a strongbox. Though the Z-2 LMP can be augmented with EACs, It's recommended not to yse them on the Z-2 LMP because of their rarity.

Design[]

Z-2 LMP resembles an MP5 (specifically the MP5A variant) without the collapsible stock and the rear sight. It has a Aimpoint Comp M2/M4-esque optic, and a vertical foregrip that is likely modeled after (or at least inspired by) the Knight's Armament Company Forward Pistol Grip. It has "Z-2" stamped in gray lettering right above its magazine. It has scratches & some duct tape wrapped around its grip, implying that the gun is now under very bad condition but still usable.

Build info[]

You cannot augment the Z-2 LMP without using augment cores. It is not usually recommended that you use augment cores on the Z-2 LMP due to other guns overall superiority, which makes them better candidates.

Trivia[]

  • As mentioned before, this weapon resembles the MP5 submachine gun. Some may mistake Z-2 being based of MP5K (a variant of MP5) due to the lack of a stock. It can be distinguished from the latter by these 2 factors:
    • The MP5K's vertical foregrip is integrated into the handguard, while The Z-2 LMP's vertical foregrip is attached to the bottom picatinny rail of its handguard.
    • The MP5K's barrel is significantly shorter than the barrel of an MP5A. (The MP5K's barrel length is 4.4 inches (11.176 centimeters) shorter than the MP5A's barrel.)
  • Many consider this the worst of the starter equipment, and even the worst gun in the game, due to its low damage (the starting pistol, the HVM 001 deals higher damage per-shot) as well as low damage per second. Some stats that make it slightly better than or at least enough to be on par with the other two Z-Armtech weapons include:
    • The lowest movement penalty (-3.0%)
    • Slightly larger magazine capacity than the Z-1 Assault (50)
    • The fastest reloading time (2.1 s)
    • RoF being equal with Z-5 (8.0 rps = 480 rpm)
    • The cheapest ammo cost ($40 for normal ammo, $256 for HIGH-DMG ammo)
  • LMP possilby stands for Light Machine Pistol.
    • This might be because the "MP" in "MP5" stands for "maschinenpistole" (literally meaning "submachine gun" when translated from German.) Although the gun is not a machine pistol, the name (or at least the abbreviation) could have led the developers to make this the SMG's name.
    • Another possibility is that Z-Armtech classifies it as a machine pistol because it is a compact weapon with no stock chambered in a pistol-caliber. (9x19mm Parabellum AKA 9x19mm Luger.)
  • It would take 1.5 hours to kill a Savage Necrosis with the Z-2 LMP, with reloads factored in.
  • As the LMP is a starter weapon, it doesn't have [RED] Version or [BLACK] Version versions to obtain.
  • The Z-2 LMP is 1 of 8 weapons with their name visualized on them
