The Z-1 Assault (sometimes shortened to Z-1) is an Assault Rifle featured in SAS: Zombie Assault 4 (both PC & mobile) as a starting primary gun exclusively for the Assault class.

Overview

As a starting gun, the Z-1 Assault is useful as it has good firepower and accuracy for rookie players. However, the Z-1 will become ineffective for later levels as it suffers poor stats when compared to other Assault Rifles. Also, It can't be augmented without EAC's

You should sell this gun not for money but a slot or simply replace it with a better gun that is randomly found in Strongboxes. Though the Z-1 Assault can be augmented with EACs, It's not recommended due to the rarity of an EAC.

Design

The Z-1 Assault's design appears to be mostly inspired by the XM-177 carbine, although with a longer barrel and a more futuristic design. (Which lacks the charging handle found on most AR-15-style rifles.) It has "Z-1" stamped onto the lower receiver (just above the magazine) in gray lettering. It has scratches on it and duct tape wrapped around its stock, carrying handle, pistol grip and handguard, Which implies that this rifle has been well used and is now in very bad condition but still usable.

• This is one of six weapons that have no or variants.
  • This is also one of three starter weapons, which is most likely why these weapons don't have or variants.
• In the game files of the mobile version, there is an image of Z-1 Assault that is black & gray (possibly created by simply applying a black & white effect to the original gun in some sort of image-editing software.) That image is unofficially recognized by the community as the BLACK version of the Z-1 Assault.
• The Z-1 Assault is 1 of 8 weapons with their name visualized on them
• The Z-1 Assault is a reference to Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
