"The LMG of the Shotlite range, the Supermarine really brings "Light" to Light Machine Gun. At 3.6 kg fully loaded with its large ammo drum this has to be hefted to be believed."
―Official Description

The Supermarine is a very strong, versatile gun due to the small movement penalty, high rate of fire, above average-damage, huge clip, and 3 pierce. All together, these perks make the Supermarine a versatile gun capable of taking down most zombies and bosses, including Devastators if the user has a speed boost from skill points or armor. However, the reload time is quite long, but can be worked around a little by firing conservatively and reloading when no zombies are around. This can be one of the most powerful weapons in game. Unfortunately, it's very rare, so if you find a high-grade Supermarine, you're quite lucky.

Trivia[]

  • The Supermarine is named after Supermarine S.6. It it worth noting that the plane uses name of its manufacturer, Supermarine.
  • The Christmas name, Yippee Kay Ay', is a reference to Die Hard. Its description is "Now I have a machine gun. Ho ho ho.".
  • The Supermarine, along with the CM 401 Planet Stormer and the CM 505 is one the weapons with a limited edition ([PREM] Version Supermarine Alpha Ltd. Edition).
  • The weapons description allowed for the discovery of -x% movement penalties on weapons to be accurately translated into Lbs
  • Like most other Shotlite weapons (on PC) the [RED] Version variant of the weapon have two chevrons ontop of each other, this design is also found on Rubicon Industries's Armor.
  • The [BLACK] Version PC variant of the Supermarine appears to be a grey scaled [RED] Version Supermarine
