"Mix of classic and modern, this triple-barreled machine gun has a walnut stock. Oversized and extremely heavy, it is savagely powerful in the right hands."

The Proposition and Medusa Gloves in mobile.

The Proposition is an LMG developed by Smoke Stack industries added in the first expansion pack. Along with the [PREM] Version HIKS S4000, this is tied for the third heaviest weapon in the game, with a -60% movement modifier, making it most effective being used by a Heavy with a suitable number of skill points in the Heavy Gear category. It deals the highest damage out of all LMGs, beating the Ronson LBM by 50 damage and over double the fire rate.

All this power comes at a price; the -60% movement penalty might put players off, and only those with several points in Fast Movement, Heavy Gear, or speed increasing armor (such as Titan MEM Sprint or Shotlite armor pieces) are able to use it to its best potential. As such, it is bad when fighting faster bosses such as Devastators, who will constantly chase the player at a decent speed (though this can, however, be balanced by investing into Concussion). Its slow reload speed can be crippling, and may even result in death should the player have to reload at a crucial moment. Even though it has high damage per shot, a user of the Proposition will still have to buy lots of ammo, especially in Nightmare Mode, to feed the Proposition's ammo consumption. Applying a few points into Field Supplies can help, but that alone is not enough to sustain the weapon.

You can buy a [RED] Version Proposition in the Faction Warfare Armory for 7500 Faction Credits and 500 Zeta Favours.

Trivia[]

  • This weapon appears at first to be a hand-held version of the real-life Gatling Gun, although it isn't as the top-view and description imply that it only has 3 vertically stacked barrels rather than 6 or more rotating barrels.

Top-down view of the Proposition on mobile.

Fittingly enough, the Proposition does appear to be a Gatling Gun on SAS 4 mobile as a closer look shows it has five barrels of which the top-down view of its normal and [RED] Version mobile sprites further imply it has an 8-barreled rotary assembly. Additionally, the mobile version has a more curved stock and much shorter barrels.
  • This was the second heaviest weapon available until the M1000 was released via Championships, only falling behind the Zerfallen (if counting [PREM] Version items).
  • The [BLACK] Version version of it in the mobile version has the same model as the PC version. Interestingly, when one receives a [BLACK] Version Proposition in mobile, the mobile Proposition sprite will appear for a split second after opening the box before turning into the [BLACK] Version PC sprite.
  • This weapon received a quite big damage buff in April 2015, as LMGs lacked DPS at that time. It used to do 280, 550 damage [RED] Version, and 825 damage [BLACK] Version.
