The Mastodon Gauntlets are gloves made by Morlok. Like other parts in the Mastodon Series, they cost 15,000 Faction Credits and 1,000 Epsilon Tokens to purchase from the faction armory. Wearing this armor piece also increases the Pay Grade skill by 1 level, increases pickup radius by 15%, and increases clip size of all equipped weapons by 20%.

Wearing any Mastodon armor piece always increases the clip size of all weapons by at least 1, making Mastodon Gauntlets a powerful option when using weapons with a clip size low enough that you are unable to get the Capacity augment on them, such as the Mustang and Zerfallen. Since the Zerfallen is currently one of the best weapons to use in Apocalypse mode, Mastodon Gauntlets are one of the best pairs of gloves to use in the event alongside it.

Outside of Apocalypse mode, using Mastodon Gauntlets is generally not recommended as the bonuses provided by these gloves are rather negligible in the end-game and other gloves have more valuable bonuses.

The Pay Grade skill bonus level is not shown in the skill page, but it may bypass the skill cap if you have maxed it out.
The clip size bonus is based on base clip size of the weapon without any other bonus. Stacks accumulative with other Mastodon set bonus, rounded down to minimum of 1. Eg: Mastodon chest (40%) + legs (30%) + boots (10%) will still only give 1 extra clip size for Zerfallen which has base capacity of 2, you need the gauntlet (20%) to get 2 extra clip size.
