SAS Zombie Assault Wiki

The MP5 is a sub-machine gun in SAS: Zombie Assault, SAS: Zombie Assault 2, SAS: Zombie Assault 2 Insane Asylum, and SAS: Zombie Assault 3, and is one of the few weapons to be available in every top-down shooter in the SAS: Zombie Assault series, up until the fourth main game was released.

It is based on the real life submachine gun of the same name.

The MP5N, based on the real life MP5-N (N standing for Navy. The Navy mod is a special type which adds a flashlight to the bottom instead of a plain MP5.) is the second weapon available for purchase in SAS: Zombie Assault. In reality the Navy variant differentiates itself from other variants by adding a collapsible stock, a tritium-illuminated front sight post and a 225 mm (8.9 in) threaded barrel for use with a stainless steel sound suppressor together with quieter subsonic ammunition.[1] However, within the game these additions are purely aesthetic and have no noticeable impact on gameplay.

It can be bought for $120, and reloads cost $12. It has low damage, short range, and a very high rate of fire, boasting the highest cyclic rate of fire of any weapon in the game. It is quite effective for a few rounds earlier in the game.

"The MP5, a stalwart of special forces around the world. Damage isn't massive but what it lacks in sheer power it makes up for in fire rate and mobility."
―Bombardier Description

The MP5 in SAS: Zombie Assault 3 has considerable punch to it early on, delivering more damage than either the Glock 17 or the Skorpion. It has a large magazine size, great accuracy, and moderate range and being an SMG, has excellent mobility. At the time of its unlock it's generally considered the most efficient of all the non-premium weapons.

On the downside, it has no piercing ability, though neither does the Skorpion or the Glock 17. Additionally, it lacks the fire rate of a Skorpion which can take away, so overall it trades its short range useability for its medium range efficiency.

SAS: Zombie Assault Tower Defense

In SAS Zombie Assault Tower Defense, the MP5 appears as the starting gun for the MG SAS. It can be upgraded to the MP5-10, which uses 10mm Auto instead of 9mm Parabellum. Therefore, the MP5-10 deals more damage per round than the regular MP5.
