"Fusion power cell generates bolts of high energy plasma. Not as deadly as the 307 but more accurate and much higher capacity."
―Official description

The CM 351 Sunflare is an EnergyicoEnergy SMG. Despite what the description says, it is essentially a direct upgrade to the CM 307, beating it in nearly every area, with a nearly doubled clip size, improved damage, slightly faster reload time and an amazing 2 pierce (3 pierce for [RED] Version & [BLACK] Version), which only adds to the CM 351 Sunflare's already great crowd control capabilities.

Because it's an energy weapon, it does not suffer to zombies that can resist physical resistance because it uses energy damage, However, it is not better in every way - Energy damage means it does not fare well against enemies with energy resistance. Ammo costs 3x that of the ammo for the CM 307. It is also heavier, reducing movement by 10% to the CM307's 6%. It also fires much slower, 9 rounds per second the to CM 307's 15. And being an energy weapon, its projectiles take time to reach their target, unlike bullets which hit instantly. However, chances are, you'll need a stronger weapons such as the HIKS S300 to kill a boss. If you can bypass its downsides, or if you liked the CM 307 and are looking for something with a bit more kick, the CM 351 Sunflare will serve you well for later levels.

Augmentations for this can be slightly more thought than a normal weapon; Deadly/Overclocked are obvious choices but it has a clip size of 150, pretty large considering a 2 second reload. However, as a secondary weapon you may want to get Race Modded/Capacity, as you won't use it as much the pierce won't help as much.

Overall it is a great choice for an SMG, with good damage, excellent clip size, decent rate of fire, and ok crowd control.

Build info[]

It is not recommended that you in any way invest in augmentations for the CM351 Sunflare due to it's poor viability in the meta, however if you do wish to augment then the best augments would be deadly/adaptive/capacity/overclocked (If you have a fourth augment slot)
