Costing 7.5K Faction credits and 500 Xi tokens to purchase from the armory, the Avalanche is a "Flamethrower" manufactured by Morlok that coats it's target in ice. In other words, it freezes them. The freezing effect makes this "Flamethrower" extremely effective against mobs and bosses. But it doesn't just freeze mobs. It can also freeze framerates because of the particles it produces upon hitting a target. Basically, it's often used as a troll gun to cause immense amount of lag on players that are using low end devices by aiming this "Flamethrower" at a door or something that's collideable.

Trivia

•It is the 1st Physical damage Flamethrower in the game.

•Contrary to it being a Flamethrower it neither does thermal damage nor is it actually a Flamethrower.

•The Avalanche is the only known Flamethrower that Morlok has Manufactured to date.
