The AK47 (spelled without a dash in these games) is an automatic assault rifle. It is slightly inaccurate, has low-medium damage and will make you last for a few early rounds. It packs a lot more punch than the P226, making it great for the time it is unlocked.

The AK-47 returns in Zombie Assault 3, unlocked at Rank 8 and can be purchased for $400. It is fairly powerful but because of the vast array of weapons in Zombie Assault 3, it is no longer amongst just a few other assault rifles. The AK-47 is one of the most widely used weapons in multiplayer. It has a clip of 60 (90 when fully upgraded without the "high-cap mags" skill) ammunition or 120 if you have high-cap magazines skill. On the iOS/Android versions, premium ammo can be bought for $300 per 200 rounds.
This gun is very good in the early ranks because it will be the best gun until you get the good guns. This gun can pierce only 1 Zombie and has more damage power than all of the Sub Machine Guns (SMGs), except from the PP19 Bizon and the ZCS Seizure. A great weapon for the level you unlock it at. In the early ranks, this gun packs quite a large punch, killing Swarm Zombies in one hit. But with a slow fire rate, one pierce and quite a large spread, it won't keep you going for too long into the game. You'll be able to make use of it until the late rank 20s, where else you might have to turn to the SCAR-H or REC7 Barrett.
On iOS/Android versions the AK-47 can hit up to 6 zombies at once with fully upgraded AP Rounds.
